Jenny Mollen is putting on the author hat once more.
The comedian is following up 2014’s New York Times bestseller I Like You Just the Way I Am with Live Fast, Die Hot, publisher Doubleday announced.
In the new book, Mollen writes about the journey to adulthood: “Does my body look fig-shaped in skinny jeans? How do I turn my Mommy and Me class into a Mommy and Weed class? Could I ever pass as my son’s sister? Have I done enough with my life? Am I a good mother? Also, will my son’s therapist imagine me skinny?”
In a statement, Mollen said, “I’m thrilled to share my most recent capers and schemes with everyone, except the person in charge of my son’s preschool admission.” Doubleday describes it as “heartfelt and devastatingly honest.”
Publication is scheduled for 2016.
Mollen, who The New York Times named as one of its five twitter feeds to follow (@jennyandteets), is an actress and author. Her writing has appeared in Cosmopolitan and Glamour.
Sony TV optioned I Like You Just the Way I Am, which was a bestseller, with Mollen attached to star. The Los Angeles-based actress is married to Jason Biggs of American Pie fame. The couple has three dogs and a son.
Mollen is repped by Joseph Veltre at The Gersh Agency. Senior editor Yaniv Soha acquired the book for Doubleday.
