Jerry Bruckheimer is going solo.
With the prolific producer’s 15-year, exclusive pact with Warner Bros. Television ending this year, Jerry Bruckheimer Television will become an independently financed outfit.
The production company is expected to shop for financing that would allow for greater ownership of its shows. Sources suggest, however, that Bruckheimer is still expected to do business with Warner Bros, just not exclusively.
Current shows that hail from Bruckheimer TV include Fox’s Lucifer and CBS’ forthcoming Training Day reboot. Among the past series to spawn from the deal: Cold Case and Without a Trace.
On the film side, Bruckheimer has a deal with Paramount Pictures that takes him through April 2017.
