TORONTO – The Killing‘s Jewel Staite is starring in the Canadian theatrical comedy How to Plan an Orgy in a Small Town, by director Jeremy Lalonde.
Staite plays a big-city sex writer who turns life for a group of friends in her hometown upside down by returning and plotting her revenge.
The Canadian indie from Neophyte Productions also stars Lauren Lee Smith, Katharine Isabelle, Ennis Esmer, Tommie-Amber Pirie and Jonas Chernick.
Jordan Walker and Chris Bennett are producing, while Avi Federgreen and Ryan Goldhar are executive producing.
How to Plan an Orgy in a Small Town will shoot in October.
Staite’s recent credits include the Canadian web series State of Syn, The CW’s L.A. Complex, Serenity and the upcoming She Who Must Burn, a Canadian theatrical thriller directed by Larry Kent.
