Jill Scott and Lauren London Cast in FX’s ‘Snowfall’ Pilot

FX’s pilot Snowfall is rounding out its cast.

 

The network has confirmed that the drama has added Jill Scott and Lauren London. Scott will play Sharon “Cissy” Saint, the no-nonsense mother of Franklin (Damson Idris). Frustrated in both her personal and professional lives, Cissy has sacrificed her dreams to give Franklin opportunities she never had.?? London, meanwhile, will play Louise Saint, Franklin’s party-girl aunt.

 

 

The drama hails from John Singleton and focuses on the beginnings of the crack cocaine epidemic in Los Angeles in the 1980s. Co-written by scribe Eric Amadio, the pilot will tell the story from the perspectives of three different characters on a “violent collision course.” 

 

Scott is repped by CAA, The Chamber Group and Maverick Management. London is repped by WME and 3 Arts Entertainment.
