Late-night hosts across the dial have continually praised the Parkland, Florida, high school students in their fight for gun control, and now, some are stepping up to give more than just airtime.
On Monday night’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon — its first full show since the Winter Olympics — the host pledged to join students in Washington for the upcoming “March for Our Lives.”

“I think what the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School are doing is unbelievable. They’re speaking out with more guts, passion, conviction and common sense than most adults,” Fallon said. “They’re high school students — it’s beyond impressive — the strength that they have is inspiring. They’re angry and they are doing something about it and creating change. This is a real revolution.”
Fallon then explained the march, in which, according to its website, students “will take to the streets of Washington, D.C., to demand that their lives and safety become a priority and that we end gun violence and mass shootings in our schools today.”
Added Fallon: “I just want to say I stand behind you guys and I’ll be marching alongside you with my wife and two children in D.C. to show our support. To everyone of you who is speaking out — thank you. I’ll see you March 24.”
Other celebrities, such as George and Amal Clooney, have also announced their plans to attend as well as donated money to the march.
