A 20th Century Fox TV rep confirms to The Hollywood Reporter that the actor has booked a multi-episode arc on How I Met Your Mother, as first reported by TVLine.
Before Manganiello appeared in True Blood or Magic Mike, he joined How I Met Your Mother in the second season, subsequently appearing in four more episodes over the years as Marshall’s (Jason Segel) law school friend Brad. He famously, and unsuccessfully, went on a date with Robin (Cobie Smulders).
How I Met Your Mother, which is currently being considered for an early renewal for a ninth season at CBS, is bringing back several familiar faces from previous seasons when it returns in the fall. Michael Trucco and Ashley Williams will both appear as well.
