Outstanding lead actor in comedy series. Emmy winner Jim Parsons was expected to be a shoe-in for another nom, but his castmate too? It’ll be interesting if Parsons can leave Galecki in the dust and win again or if they’ll split the BBT votes and neither wins.

Fox is getting into the Johnny Galecki business.
The network has handed out a pilot order to Here’s Your Damn Family, a multicamera comedy executive produced by The Big Bang Theory star, former ABC Entertainment chief Stephen McPherson and writer Ricky Blitt.

Here’s Your Damn Family revolves around a mom who has been single for two decades and traumatizes her stunted 30-something son with a little surprise — she just got married and her new husband and his three teenage children are about to move in.
Blitt penned the script on spec and will executive produce the comedy, which landed at Fox with a penalty attached. The project reunites Blitt with Galecki, who starred in the writer’s 2002 Fox comedy, Becoming Glen. Galecki and McPherson will executive produce the comedy, which hails from Warner Bros. Television, Wonder Monkey and Candy Bar Productions.
For Fox, this marks the network’s fourth comedy in the works for the 2014-15 broadcast season. It joins Nahnatchka Khan comedy Fatrick, Mulaney and an untitled comedy about a women’s college from 30 Rock‘s Matt Hubbard, Tina Fey and Robert Carlock. The latter two were picked up straight to series.
For McPherson, the project marks his first pilot order at Fox, where the producer is under an overall deal. It also marks his first outside of Lionsgate, where he also has a first-look deal. The comedy was one of several projects McPherson has in development this season, including other projects at Fox as well as CBS.
