A Texas pool party did not go swimmingly over the weekend, which has Jon Stewart dismayed.
On Monday’s episode, the Daily Show host addressed the incident that took place yesterday at a community pool in McKinney, Texas, in which a police officer waved his gun at teens and restrained a 14-year-old girl. The officer has been placed on administrative leave.

“How do you go from a pool party to this?” Stewart asked, putting his hand in the air in the shape of a gun while impersonating the officer: “When I say Marco, you say Polo, mother f—er. Marco! Marco!”
Stewart pointed out that the cop ordered the girl to “get her ass on the ground,” even though she was already seated. “So not only is he being an asshole, he’s redundant,” he said.
The host then interviewed correspondent Jessica Williams, who was wearing a pink bathing suit over a flak jacket, which she called a “McKinney bikini.”
Stewart was surprised that she referred to the incident as progress, to which Williams replied, “It’s progress because a cop pulled a gun on a group of black kids and nobody is dead.”
