Joy Behar took digs at GOP candidates Donald Trump and Mike Huckabee on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday night.
During her sit-down interview with Kimmel to discuss her upcoming TLC show Late Night Joy, the former View host — who returned to cover the political season — shared her opinion of the two Republicans who are in the running for the presidential ticket.
“I came back because of the politics, you know?” Behar told Kimmel of her return to the show. “This is a political year and I wanted to be right in the middle of everything,” she said, adding, “Look who’s running.”
“You have Trump. Is he here yet? Is he here?” she said in reference to his last-minute cancellation on Kimmel. “No, he’s still not showed,” the host replied.
“I worry about his wife because she must be like, ‘Donald don’t send me back to Slovenia, please!’ ” she quipped to Kimmel of Melania Trump. ” ‘Please, I beg you Donald!’ ” she continued, clasping her hands together, in a gesture of begging.
She then switched from Trump to Huckabee. “Huckabee, what about Huckabee?” she asked. “I read this thing where he says, ‘It’s very trashy for women to curse.’ What the f— is his problem?” she asked the audience. “And and, wait, there’s more. … This guy says that everybody in this country should be a Christian. If that happens, Jimmy, who’s going to do my taxes? That’s what I want to know.”
Switching political parties, Behar said, “I love Bernie,” speaking of Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders. “A man who like talks about income inequality gets me hot. I’m aroused by that.”
Behar’s Late Night Joy — which is filmed and takes place in her apartment — airs Nov. 4 at 11 p.m. on TLC.
