Katie couric's return to daytime television will be a lucrative one: Sources tell THR that her deal with ABC, announced June 6, will pay her $10 million per year during an initial two-year term as an advance against revenue from the syndicated talk show she plans to launch in fall 2012.

Promos touting Katie Couric‘s return to morning television has been released.
ABC News has released teasers promoting the former Today show co-host’s weeklong stint on ABC’s Good Morning America, which officially begins April 2. Couric is taking over for Robin Roberts, who will be on vacation, and will join George Stephanopoulos at the anchor desk.
In the promos, viewers get a sense of what the Couric-Stephanopoulos dynamic will be like for the week — and a brief look at Couric on Dancing With the Stars.
After getting the keys to America from Roberts, Couric at one point jokingly calls Stephanopoulous, “Matt,” as in Couric’s former counterpart at Today, Matt Lauer. But it’s all in good fun as the two laugh it off. “Gotcha,” she jokes.
