Law & Order: SVU is bringing out the big guns.
Katie Couric will make a cameo in the March 19 episode of NBC’s long-running procedural, appearing opposite Alec Baldwin in the hour.
Couric will take on the role of a talk show host who quizzes Baldwin’s Jimmy MacArthur, a controversial New York newspaper columnist who questions the SVU squad’s motives during the investigation of a potential hate crime/rape case.
The episode, titled “Criminal Stories,” will also mark series star Mariska Hargitay‘s directorial debut.
Law & Order: SVU airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on NBC.
