The drama, from Heroes creator Tim Kring, will premiere in more than 100 countries with a first-of-its-kind global distribution, marketing and sponsorship pact.
Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, Fox Broadcasting Co., FOX One, 20th Television and Fox International Channels will collaborate for the worldwide bow on March 18 — a date that figures prominently in Touch‘s pilot episode. Unilvever has also boarded the project as an ad sponsor.
“It’s so appropriate that a television series whose focus is the unity and connection we all share in spite of culture and language differences would serve as the springboard for this very exciting, global launch,” said Marion Edwards, president of international television at Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution.
Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution has closed deals in more than 160 markets, making series available in territories including the U.K., Germany, Israel and Russia. FOX International will bow the series in 64 countries throughout Latin America, Asia and Europe.
Touch, Sutherland’s first series television gig since his long-running 24, revolves around Martin Bohm, a widower and single father who learns that his emotionally challenged son, Jake, can see hidden patterns that connect every life on the planet. Martin must then put the pieces together and help others across the world connect.
Fox will preview Touch on Wednesday at 9 p.m. ahead of its Monday, March 19 premiere at 9 p.m.
International launches will take place the week of March 19.
