Law & Order: SVU has been pulling from headlines for 17 seasons and counting, and now the long-running NBC drama is pulling from one of the biggest reality hits.
The series is planning an episode inspired by The Bachelor set to air later this season, sources confirm to The Hollywood Reporter.
The hour is said to revolve around a fictional dating show called Heart’s Desire and will put the focus on the behind-the-scenes drama, and particularly the married creators behind the show, as well as the on-screen participants.
NBC did not comment.

The news comes just days after The Bachelor season finale drew an impressive 2.8 rating among adults 18-49 and 9.4 million viewers. The reality show, which enters season 21 this summer with The Bachelorette, continues to prove a draw for ABC and was recently renewed for season 22.
In addition, Lifetime has found success with the Bachelor-inspired scripted series UnReal, which centers around the making of a fictional network dating show called Everlasting and hails from a former Bachelor producer.
This is not the first time SVU has taken on reality TV. Earlier this season, the veteran drama did an episode loosely inspired by the Duggars, the stars of TLC’s former reality hit 19 Kids and Counting.
Law & Order: SVU returns Wednesday, March 23, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
