Dance Moms started the new year off strong. The Lifetime reality series, entering its third season Jan. 1, pulled in 2.8 million viewers.
The 90-minute premiere of Dance Moms, which stars demanding dance instructor Abby Lee Miller, jumped 33 percent from its June sophomore opener.

Among key demos, Dance Moms brought in 1.4 million viewers in adults 18-to-49 (up 27 percent) and 1.3 million in adults 25-to-54 (up 45 percent). In the network’s sought-after female demos, the show pulled in 1.1 million women in 18-to-49 and just under 1 million women in 25-to-54 (up 41 percent).
Dance Moms‘ return was followed by a preview episode of new docuseries Double Divas, which pulled in 1.5 million viewers. Double Divas officially premieres Jan. 10.
