MTV on Monday released the first official trailer for Lindsay Lohan’s upcoming reality show, Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club. The clip offers a glimpse at the glam digs of the actress turned entrepreneur’s Mykonos establishment, Lohan Beach Club, while Lohan reveals why she decided to get into the nightlife business.
“I’ve gone through so much in my past. People have always given me trouble for going to clubs, so why don’t I just open my own? Boss bitch!” Lohan says in the preview, while her 2008 hit “Bossy” plays.
The show, produced by Bunim/Murray (Keeping Up With the Kardashians, The Real World), will follow Lohan and her staff of the Lohan Beach Club at work and, presumably, after-hours. According to MTV, “Viewers will get to see a new side of Lohan as she calls the shots with her handpicked team of young and ambitious VIP hosts who will have to do whatever it takes to secure Lohan’s name as the definition of vacation luxury.”
Elsewhere in the trailer, Lohan welcomes viewers to “my Mykonos,” elaborating, “To work for me, you have to be the best of the best. I want to build an empire here.”
The trailer comes months after MTV shared a first teaser for the show, in which Lohan excitedly announced, “Pack your bags, MTV. We’re going to Mykonos! I’ve joined the MTV family and I’m Lindsay Lohan. Get ready.”
MTV president of programming and development Nina L. Diaz previously said in a statement that the series “offers viewers VIP access to one of the most exclusive destinations in the world, and a behind-the-scenes look at how a young, successful entrepreneur runs her empire.” She added, “We are thrilled to have such a passionate and creative partner in Lindsay to help explore this intriguing culture, all through the eyes of her brand.”
Leading up to premiere, MTV will air an exclusive sneak peek of the series and introduce the cast during the network’s Lindsay Lohan: Welcome to the Beach Club special airing Jan. 1 at 8 p.m. ET. Additionally, viewers will get to catch up on all things LiLo during MTV’s tentatively titled Lindsay Lohan: Most Memorable Moments special, hosted by the former child star’s younger siblings Aliana and Dakota, on Jan. 7 at 10 p.m. ET.
This isn’t Lohan’s first foray into reality TV. The 32-year-old previously starred in Lindsay, a nine-part docuseries that aired on OWN in 2014. The show documented Lohan’s post-rehab recovery following a public period of struggles in her personal life and career.
Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club is set to premiere Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. ET on MTV. Watch the trailer, below.
