Lindsey Vonn on Saturday responded to Trump-supporting Twitter trolls who gave her a hard time after her super-G loss at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.
Vonn previously criticized President Donald Trump and said she would not visit the White House if invited.
The 33-year-old four-time Olympian was bombarded with hateful messages after she placed sixth in the women’s super-G event.
Julie Foudy of the U.S. women’s national soccer team and ESPN noticed the awful tweets and shared a message of support to Vonn.
Vonn responded: “It’s ok Julie. Not everyone has to like me but my family loves me and I sleep well at night. I work hard and try to be the best person I can be. If they don’t like me their loss I guess… Thank you for the support.”
Vonn previously won two medals, a gold and a bronze, at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. A severe knee injury kept her from the Sochi Games in 2014.
