Lifetime has added a pair to Witches of East End.
Twin Peaks alum Madchen Amick and Mr. Holland’s Opus co-star Glenne Headly have joined the drama pilot based on Melissa de la Cruz’s best-selling novel, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
Witches revolves around Joanna Beauchamp (Mad Men‘s Julia Ormond) and her two adult daughters Freya (American Horror Story‘s Jenna Dewan-Tatum) and Ingrid (In Plain Sight‘s Rachel Boston), both of whom have no idea that they’re the family’s next generation of witches.

They lead uneventful lives in a quiet secluded Long Island town of North Hampton but when Freya becomes engaged to a newcomer Dash Gardner (Black Swan‘s Patrick Heusinger) a series of events prompt Joanna to admit that her daughters are both powerful and immortal witches.
Amick will guest star as Wendy, Joanna’s sister, who is described as being a beautiful and funny witch who takes the form of a cast — complete with nine lives.
Headly — who recently booked a guest turn as Ben’s mom on NBC’s Parks and Recreation — will play Dash and Killian Gardiner’s (Daniel Ditomasso) mother, Penelope.
Maggie Friedman (Dawson’s Creek) penned the pilot and will exec produce the pilot, which hails from Fox 21. 3 Arts Entertainment’s Erwin Stoff (The Matrix) will also executive produce.
Amick (Political Animals, Ringer) is repped by Gersh and KW Entertainment; Headly is with ICM Partners and Untitled Entertainment.
