As if Matthew McConaughey wasn’t funny enough as the creepy, aging male strip club owner in Steven Soderbergh‘s Magic Mike, Jason Biggs has upped the ante.
In a newly released spoof, the American Reunion actor pretends to audition for the role of Dallas, complete with cowboy hat and a striptease. One notable difference: the abs.
The clip was posted to YouTube on Thursday from an account titled “Biggs Assistant,” and features Biggs delivering the attention-grabbing monologue from the film’s opening scene, in which McConaughey’s Dallas lectures a group of rowdy women on what they can and can’t touch. Later, he gets raunchy in a scene in which McConaughey gives Alex Pettyfer‘s The Kid his first lesson in the art of the stripping.
Finally, Biggs’ dance moves are put to the test as he breaks it down to Ginuwine‘s “Pony.” In the film, McConaughy doesn’t actually dance to the tune — that scene, without a doubt, belonged to Channing Tatum.
According to Billboard, the song earned a notable bump in sales after being featured in the film. “Pony” had its best digital sales week ever following the release, selling 13,000 downloads for the week ending in July 8.
Biggs’ spoof gained notoriety after being featured on NBC’s Today show on Friday, July 13.
Obviously Biggs did not land the role, but watch his “audition” in the video below. And for a little taste of his competition, see Tatum dance to “Pony” here.
