The NBC crafting competition, hosted by Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman, debuted to a 1.1 rating in adults 18-49. That’s behind World of Dance‘s Tuesday average (1.4), but it also ties Fox’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back as the top series debut of the summer.
America’s Got Talent scored a 2.1 for NBC, even with last week and once again leading the night by a wide margin.
Elsewhere, Beat Shazam remained steady at 0.7 on Fox, but Love Connection lost a tenth of a point week to week with a 0.4. The 100 matched last week’s 0.3 on The CW, and The Outpost ticked back up to 0.2 after being at 0.1 a week ago. ABC and CBS each aired a full night of repeats.
NBC’s 1.7 average in the 18-49 demo for the night beat the combined total of the other four networks. Fox came in second at 0.6, and ABC and CBS tied for third at 0.4. The CW averaged 0.2.
NBC’s strong primetime also helped The Tonight Show to a late-night win: It drew a 0.5 demo rating in metered markets, beating out 0.4s for The Late Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live! at 11:35 p.m.
Late Night and Nightline tied for the lead at 12:35 a.m. with 0.3s. The Late Late Show was a tenth behind at 0.2.
