Mandy Moore is returning to ABC.
The former Grey’s Anatomy guest star will star in Us and Them, a single-camera comedy from 20th Television that has landed at the Disney-owned network.
The family comedy explores the inherent conflict that exists between the families you grow up in and the ones we make as adults and is told through from the perspective of Annie (Moore) and Ben, a young, newlywed couple.
ABC has given a put-pilot commitment to the project, which hails from Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements‘ 21 Laps/Adelstein shingle. The pair will executive produce the project alongside Bob Fisher, who will pen the project. Jon Leshay will produce, with Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum) directing and exec producing.
The project reteams Moore with Leshay, who was a music supervisor on a handful of Moore-fronted projects including features Saved, How to Deal and Nicholas Sparks‘ A Walk to Remember.
Moore’s small-screen work includes four episodes of ABC’s long-running Shonda Rhimes medical drama Grey’s Anatomy as well as episodes of Scrubs, Entourage and How I Met Your Mother.
She’s repped by WME, Storefront Entertainment and Ziffren Brittenham.
