Marc Wade has been appointed to the newly created position of executive producer of digital at The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, according to an announcement by COO Alan Perris.
Wade will be responsible for the production of the TV Academy’s digital experiences, including website production, digital product and platform development and coordination of digital content programming and other editorial strategies. He reports to vp digital Maury McIntyre, who oversees the academy’s digital strategy and initiatives.

“His expertise in digital and franchise development will help to further elevate the Emmy and academy’s digital brand and channels,” said Perris.
Before joining the TV Academy, Wade spent four years as director of destination websites at Disney Interactive. His efforts included the launch of the Toy Story 3 website. He also worked on the Wreck-It Ralph and Frankenweenie websites.
Before Disney, Wade was director of production at Paramount Digital Entertainment, where he oversaw design, development and ongoing production of a web presence for Star Trek. Wade additionally has held positions at CBS Interactive and Apple Computer.
