Marie Osmond will appear in soap The Bold and the Beautiful “sometime this year,” the show’s Adam Gregory says.

“She’s is going to be starring in the Bold and the Beautiful,” Gregory told Entertainment Tonight at Sunday’s Daytime Emmy Awards, where the soap earned four nods.

She has not yet taped her scenes.
“That’s right, you only have ‘One life to live,’ and ‘All my Children’ asked me to do a soap, so I’m doing ‘The Bold and the Beautiful, ’cause I’m bold, and he’s beautiful,” joked Osmond, who performed at the awards show, which aired on CBS live from Las Vegas.

Wayne Brady hosted the 38th annual show, in which Oprah Winfrey was also feted for her long-running talk show, which went dark in May after 25 years on air.
