As if the fight wasn’t already super enough.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is doing the intro voiceover for the super-fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor on Saturday night.
The actor and former professional wrestler made the announcement via social media hours before the fight in Las Vegas.
“I connected with my boy Conor this week,” Johnson wrote. “His intentions go far beyond his extraordinary skill. Like Mayweather, not only does he want to put on an epic performance for the world, but there’s a real visceral, raw, warrior mana (spirit) that he has in his blood.”
He continued, “There’s only one way you gain respect… by earning it. Let’s get after it boys and may the best man win. #MayweatherMcGregor #TheWorldIsWatching #WarriorMana TONIGHT.”
Mayweather, who, should he win, will be a perfect 50-0 in his professional career, is the odds-on favorite to defeat McGregor, who became a household name through his MMA accomplishments.
Johnson is repped by WME, the agency which owns the UFC.
The evening’s events are set to begin at 6 p.m. PT, live on Pay-Per-View.
