How’s about an overall deal for Megan?
Megan Amram, the writer, producer and actress behind the Emmy-nominated shortform comedy An Emmy for Megan, has inked an overall deal with Universal Television. The pact, in which she will create, develop and produce new projects for the studio, marks the first such pact for the growing fan favorite who serves as a key member of the studio’s Mike Schur-produced comedy The Good Place.
“Today is the day Megan Amram finally joined Universal Television and we couldn’t be happier. I’ve admired her brilliant work for many years, from Parks and Recreation to her hilarious Twitter account. She deserves all the Emmys!” Universal TV president Pearlena Igbokwe said Monday in a statement.
Amram earned two Emmy nominations last year for her work creating and starring on the critically lauded web series An Emmy for Megan (season two was released earlier Monday). Her writing credits also include The Simpsons and Silicon Valley. In addition to her work in television, she is also teaming with J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot for a female-driven horror allegory feature film.
Amram is repped by WME and Management 360.
