Michael Rady is getting into the news business.
The Jane the Virgin and UnREAL grad has signed on for the CBS journalism drama The Get, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
From 11.22.63 showrunner Bridget Carpenter, The Get follows a team of tireless internet journalists as they pursue and expose stories of injustice using their unconventional investigative techniques in today’s anything-goes world of reporting. Rady will play Tom, a senior producer who is most at home when he’s out in the field.
Brad Garrett, Emayatzy Corinealdi, Alex Fitzalan and Jeananne Goossen also star.
Carpenter will executive produce with James Strong, who is also set to direct the CBS Television Studios project.
The role brings Rady back into the CBS Television Studios fold. He previously starred on the studio’s Josh Holloway drama Intelligence, Emily Owens M.D., the 2009 Melrose Place reboot and Swingtown. His more recent roles include Jane the Virgin and the second season of UnREAL.
Rady is repped by Gersh and Authentic Talent and Literary Management.
