Catherine Zeta-Jones will add some star power to MIPCOM’s annual Women in Global Entertainment power lunch this year.
The Oscar winner will headline the panel, held each year at the Majestic Hotel in partnership with The Hollywood Reporter.
Other guests include CanneSeries festival president Fleur Pellerin, Veep and Divorce executive producer Stephanie Laing, and New Pictures co-founder Willow Grylls.
The lunch and networking event is set to address the changing landscape of TV in this “golden age of television.”
Zeta-Jones will be in Cannes to promote her new A+E Networks show Cocaine Godmother, the real-life story of notorious “Black Widow” drug lord Griselda Blanco, which will premiere on the cable channel in 2018.
Of course, she’s no stranger to Cannes, having presented her film Entrapment, co-starring Sean Connery, at the film festival. Godmother marks the Oscar winner’s first foray into a TV movie.
The luncheon has become an annual industry event to address women’s advancement in television leadership and celebrates THR‘s “20 Most Powerful Women in Global Television.”
Zeta-Jones is the latest addition to a star-studded MIPCOM, with fellow Oscar winner J.K. Simmons set to attend, as well as celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.
The panel will be held Oct. 16 at the Majestic Hotel.
MIPCOM runs Oct. 16-Oct. 19 in Cannes.
