Miranda Cosgrove is headed for broadcast.
The iCarly alum has been tapped to co-star in NBC’s untitled Suzanne Martin comedy pilot, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The multigenerational family comedy centers on a couple of recent empty-nesters whose plans backfire when their two adult daughters move back home.

Cosgrove is cast as the younger daughter, Shea, who has a doctorate in astrophysics and wants to be an astronaut, yet she is slightly socially awkward.
Martin (Hot in Cleveland) will pen the script for the multicamera comedy. Hazy Mills’ Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner will executive produce the Universal Television comedy alongside Martin. James Burrows will direct and exec produce.
This marks Cosgrove’s second broadcast pilot of late. The actress, who has a talent holding deal with NBC, was attached to star in NBC’s 2013 comedy pilot Girlfriend in a Coma. Should the Martin comedy go to series, it would mark Cosgrove’s first broadcast series regular role following long runs on Nickelodeon’s iCarly and Drake & Josh. She’s repped by WME, Anonymous Content and Gang Tyre.
