Modern Family patriarch Ed O’Neill finally received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

O’Neill’s family, friends and co-stars from both his current ABC series and Fox’s Married… with Children joined him at the unveiling ceremony, including Christina Applegate, Katey Sagal, Sofia Vergara, Nolan Gould, Rico Rodriguez, Ariel Winter, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce awarded O’Neill the star honoring his career spanning more than 40 years. In addition to his role on Modern Family and 11 seasons on Married… with Children, the Ohio native’s credits include the 2007 HBO series, John from Cincinnati, and a recurring role on NBC’s The West Wing.
O’Neill is nominated for an Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series Emmy this year.

ABC’s Modern Family returns for Season 3 on Sept. 21. Season 2 will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on Sept. 20.
