Mr. Robot’s Martin Wallstrom has signed with UTA, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. He plays malevolently ambitious tech executive Tyrell Wellick on the USA hacker drama, which became a critically acclaimed watercooler hit this summer.
The role is Wallstrom’s U.S.-television debut. The Swedish actor is a star in his native country, where his film credits include 2009’s Pure (opposite Alicia Vikander), 2010’s Simple Simon (which was shortlisted for Oscar’s best foreign-language film) and 2013’s Easy Money III: Life Deluxe, in which he starred alongside franchise lead Joel Kinnaman.
Wallstrom continues to be repped by Aleksandra Mandic at Sweden’s Agentfirman, manager Kimberlin Belloni at Principato-Young and attorney Tara Kole at Gang Tyre.
