NBC added another comedy pilot to its ranks Tuesday, ordering a buddy comedy from three producers behind its short-lived comedy Animal Practice.
The untitled Aseem Batra (The Cleveland Show, Scrubs) entry is described as a politically incorrect comedy centered on best friends Dale and Georgie, whose relationship is upended when he starts dating the “perfect” woman.

Batra will pen the script for the Universal Television multicamera comedy alongside brothers Joe and Anthony Russo (Captain America). The trio previously teamed on NBC’s short-lived comedy Animal Practice and, two years ago, developed a semi-autobiographical comedy based on Batra’s childhood that did not move forward.
This marks NBC’s 13th comedy pilot order of the season, off five from a year ago.
