After using the Summer Olympics to sample new fare last year, NBC will launch the fall season in Premiere Week starting Monday, Sept. 23 with The Blacklist behind a two-hour launch of The Voice, with new and returning fare set to bow into October.
The network will also launch The Michael J. Fox Show with back-to-back episodes on Sept. 26, with Parks and Recreation — one of only two returning comedies on the network — also getting an hourlong launch the same night. NBC’s premieres will go head-to-head with CBS’ openers as the latter has set nearly all of its new and returning series to bow during the week of Sept. 23.
In a random coincidence, the Parks opener, featuring the cast in London, will launch an hour before CBS’ Elementary returns with an episode also set in the home of Big Ben.
