NBC4 topped the Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards winning in eight categories on Saturday night.
Winners in 40 categories were announced at the 66th annual awards show, which took place at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in the NoHo Arts District of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Area nominees and winners were selected by national active members and Los Angeles Area Peer Group active members within the Television Academy.
NBC4 was honored for the best evening newscast (7 p.m. to midnight) and in seven other categories.

KTLA’s Morning News was named the best morning newscast.
KMEX34 won for the best daytime newscast, one of many awards during the evening that went to Spanish language stations. For the first time this year, Spanish language shows and stations earned the most nominations.
The Hollywood Reporter this year won its first ever Emmy, in the category of best arts and culture/history show for The Hollywood Reporter In Focus: The Wolf Of Wall Street.
