We got worried for Jay Mohr’s career when he began blogging on The Real Housewives of New Jersey for Bravotv.com. Yet, we were reminded of why we like him when he took over Watch What Happens Live when Andy Cohen was on vacation recently. So, we’re happy to report TV viewers may see a bit more of him in the fall.

An NBC spokesperson confirms to The Hollywood Reporter that Mohr will be guest starring on its new crime drama, Prime Suspect, with a possibility for the role to recur.
He’ll play accomplished New York City district attorney, John Bullock, who will most likely butt heads with tough-as-nails detective Jane Timoney (star Maria Bello).
Aside from his current Real Housewives blogging gig, Mohr most recently starred in CBS’ Gary Unmarried, which ran for two seasons from 2008-2010. He has also recently appeared on Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Outlaw. Mohr’s film credits include 1996’s Jerry Maguire and the 2000 film, Pay It Forward.
Prime Suspect makes its series premiere on Sept. 22 on NBC.
