When you combine Style Media and DailyCandy, you get StyleCandy: that’s the concept behind a new multi-platform fashion and lifestyle content partnership announced Tuesday by NBCUniversal.
The company, which owns the cable network and popular online lifestyle brand/e-newsletter, is partnering the two for StyleCandy, which will bridge TV and digital to give women the latest scoop in fashion, beauty, lifestyle, tech and pop culture via video on the Style Network and DailyCandy’s website and emails.
DailyCandy correspondent SuChin Pak will contribute to StyleCandy, along with Style’s on-camera talent.
“StyleCandy will allow fans of both the Style Network and DailyCandy to experience stylish living whenever and wherever they want,” said Salaam Coleman Smith, president of Style Media, which operates Style Network. “Style’s growth to nearly 80 million households combined with our robust original content production and expertise will establish StyleCandy as their new go-to resource, fueling women’s insatiable appetite for what is stylish and fashionable.”
According to NBCU, both brands — DailyCandy and Style Media — will participate in original StyleCandy content on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and other social media sites. A mobile iteration of StyleCandy is in the works.
