“Sometimes, change is necessary.”
That’s the tagline for the new teaser promoting Necessary Roughness‘ upcoming third season. With new addition John Stamos joining the fold as Dani’s (Callie Thorne) potential new boss Connor McClane, the 40-second promo — which The Hollywood Reporter exclusively debuts — shines a light on a major decision that Dani must make: Will she take up Connor’s juicy job offer to work at his global sports and entertainment agency, V3, or will she respectfully decline?
If the teaser, which officially debuts Thursday during the premieres of Burn Notice and Graceland, is any indication, Dani may have her hands full with Connor. But Connor knows how to have the last word: “You’re an all-star. What are you afraid of?”
Six months after the New York Hawks’ playoff run, things are also on shaky ground with Matt (Marc Blucas) and New York Hawks’ football star TK (Mehcad Brooks) as they — along with Dani — reconsider their futures with the franchise.
In addition to Stamos, Necessary Roughness‘ stable of guest stars include David Anders, Autumn Reeser, Sam Page, Garcelle Beauvais, Sinqua Walls and new regular Karissa Lee Staples.
Co-creators Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro executive produce, alongside Kevin Dowling. Necessary Roughness is produced by Sony Pictures TV and Universal Cable Productions.
(For the curious, the teaser track is Santogold’s “L.E.S. Artistes.”)
Necessary Roughness returns for season three at 10 p.m. June 12 on USA.
