Bravo is saying “I do” to NeNe and Gregg Leakes.
The cable network has greenlighted its second Real Housewives of Atlanta wedding-themed spinoff, giving series orders to I Dream of Nene: The Wedding, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
Following Kim Zolciak‘s spinoff, I Dream of Nene (working title) will feature the former spouses planning their wedding of a lifetime as The New Normal actress enlists the help of celebrity wedding planner Tiffany Cook to plan the ceremony. Nene’s bridal party, including Cynthia Bailey and Marlo Hampton, also will be prominently featured during the series.
Premiering in the fall, the series will feature plenty of Housewives and celebrities as the invited guests make the trek to the “Hollywood of the South” for the Leakes’ second chance at happiness.
The series hails from True Entertainment and Nene Leakes Productions for Bravo. Executive producers include Steven Weinstock, Glenda Hersh, Lauren Eskelin, Carlos King, Megan Sanchez-Warner and Nene Leakes.
The series comes as Leakes — one of the original Real Housewives of Atlanta — is awaiting word on the fate of NBC’s freshman effort The New Normal, where she starred as the assistant to Andrew Rannells in the Ryan Murphy–Ali Adler comedy.
Zolciak’s spinoff, Don’t Be Tardy, is in its second season, while Real Housewives of New York‘s Bethenny Frankel‘s spinoff Bethenny Ever After ran for three seasons.
Nene Leakes returns to Glee on Thursday, where she’ll reprise her role as Coach Roz Washington on the Fox musical. She is repped by Untitled Entertainment and Fox Rothschild.
