Meet Mr. Adorkable.
Justin Long has booked a recurring role as Zooey Deschanel’s love interest on Fox’s upcoming comedy New Girl.
Long, whose television credits include Ed and episodes of King of the Hill and That ’70s Show, will play Paul, Jess’ (Deschanel) music teacher.
The feature actor, who most recently provided the voice of Alvin in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, will recur for three episodes, first appearing in Episode 106. He begins shooting Sept. 19.

New Girl, from 20th Century Fox Television, revolves around Jess, an offbeat and “adorkable” woman in her 20s who, following a breakup, moves into a loft with three single guys who help her re-enter the dating world.
Fall TV Season 2011: The New Shows
Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield and Lamorne Morris play her three roommates in the comedy from writer/executive producer Liz Meriwether.
Long’s credits also include He’s Just Not That Into You and Zack and Miri Make a Porno. He’s repped by CAA and Principato-Young.
New Girl premieres Tuesday, Sept. 20 on Fox.
