As New Hampshire voters turn out to the polls, the cable networks are preparing to cover tonight’s results.
Kicking off coverage in the 6:00 ET hour, MSNBC has allotted a full 360 minutes of coverage to their special report. The cable news net is trailed only by CNN at 7:00 p.m. ET, with Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper, Erin Burnett, Candy Crowley, John King and Soledad O’Brien reporting from the studio.
At 8:00 p.m. ET, Fox News and C-Span will begin coverage, with C-Span airing a simulcast of WMUR-TV’s broadcast. All networks are expected to air speeches by each of the Republican presidential candidates from their primary headquarters in Manchester.
Several online sites will be liveblogging the results, including the NY Times’ Five Thirty Eight blog and the Huffington Post.
Coverage for the New Hampshire primary is down significantly from the Iowa Caucus last week, in which each of the networks planned extensive coverage leading up to and the night of the results. The results of Tuesday’s primary are also expected to be far less dramatic than the Iowa Caucus, with Mitt Romney already an early frontrunner.
