Yago, a former MTV News and CBS News writer and correspondent, was let go from Aaron Sorkin’s HBO drama The Newsroom in July.
The project marks the latest at the network for Sertner, who also serves as an EP on ABC’s upcoming summer soap Mistresses, starring Alyssa Milano.
Yago is repped by CAA; Sertner is with WME and Hansen Jacobson.
