Tired of hearing about the so-called “fiscal cliff”?
Republican Newt Gingrich has a solution: Turn it into a drinking game.

“The same guys who created the fiscal cliff are now getting together to explain to us how we have to do something truly stupid because otherwise we’d go over a fiscal cliff,” the former presidential candidate said in an appearance on Thursday’s The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. “And so they all chant, ‘fiscal cliff, fiscal cliff.'”
But that doesn’t mean we all just have to sit back and listen. Gingrich told Leno he has an idea for how to make the whole ordeal a little more entertaining.
“We were talking backstage that we should invent a drinking game,” he said. “Every time for the next six weeks you hear the words ‘fiscal cliff, fiscal cliff,’ you get to drink. The country won’t be able to drive. I mean, people will have to walk to work.”

Gingrich also talked to Leno about the lack of diversity in the leadership of the Republican party. Gingrich said the party needs to sit down and make some changes.
“I describe it as the difference between outreach and inclusion,” he said. “Outreach is when five white guys have a meeting and call you. Inclusion is if you’re in the meeting.”
The Tonight Show airs at 11:35 weeknights on NBC.
