ABC on Monday night revealed the next star of its Bachelorette franchise.
Andi Dorfman, 26, who recently appeared on Juan Pablo Galavis‘ season of The Bachelor, has signed on to star in the upcoming season — the show’s 10th — which debuts at 9-11 p.m. on Monday, May 19. Following its premiere, the show will move to its regular time slot of 8-10 p.m. on Mondays.
The news was revealed Monday night during ABC’s The Bachelor: After the Final Rose special.
Dorfman, an assistant district attorney for Fulton County, Ga., is best remembered for dumping Galavis after spending the night with him in the overnight fantasy suite earlier this season. They got into a heated argument during which she kept insisting that he stop saying “it’s OK” as she was breaking up with him.
In Monday night’s season finale of The Bachelor, Galavis was seen choosing pediatric nurse Nikki Ferrell over hairstylist Clare Crawley. But in a twist, he told her he was not ready to propose to her but wanted to continue seeing her.
Hosted by Chris Harrison, The Bachelorette is a production of Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. Mike Fleiss, Martin Hilton and Alycia Rossiter are the executive producers.
