Nick Cannon is back home with his family after being rushed to the hospital with acute kidney failure and undergoing surgery last week.
“Nick Cannon was released over the weekend to be with his family,” Cannon’s rep said in a statement. “He is resting and recovering at home and would like to thank everyone who has expressed concern, well wishes and prayers.”

Cannon’s rep also added that the America’s Got Talent host plans to return to his live morning radio show broadcast Rollin’ with Nick Cannon on January 17.
On Saturday, Cannon’s wife and the mother of his twins, Mariah Carey, tweeted that Cannon, 31, was recovering from a procedure and would be returning home soon.
“Nick is in stable condition with a good prognosis, hopefully he’ll be discharged within 2 days. As always he’s laughing and in good spirits,” Carey wrote. She also tweeted a photo of herself giving Cannon a kiss in the hospital room, surrounded by balloons and flowers.

No specifics on what type of surgery Cannon underwent have been revealed, but the actor tweeted himself that his was awake during the whole procedure on Friday.
Cannon was vacationing in Aspen, Colorado, when he fell ill on Tuesday. He was diagnosed with acute renal failure and transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Thursday.
