Paradise Run is getting a second season.
Nickeloden has renewed the competition series, with the season premiere set for 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2.
Hosted by Daniella Monet (Victorious) and shot in Hawaii, Paradise Run features three teams of kids racing across a luxurious resort, competing in a series of funny and adrenaline-pumping challenges.
In each episode, contestants face new obstacles, including propelling down 50-foot slippery slides, quenching the thirst of man-made volcanoes, digging through giant mud pits and racing on football-length zip lines into the hotel’s lagoon. Contestants compete for the ultimate prize, a paradise vacation.
The kids-targeted cable network also has scheduled a “sneak-peek week” starting at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, with episodes featuring Nickelodeon stars including Jack Griffo, Kira Kosarin, Addison Riecke, Audrey Whitby, Diego Velazquez and Ryan Newman from The Thundermans, as well as Lizzy Greene, Casey Simpson, Mace Coronel, Aidan Gallagher and Kyla Drew Simmons from Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn.
Paradise Run, which was ranked No. 1 in its time slot with kids 6-11 across all TV through the season one run, is produced by Stone & Company Entertainment’s Scott A. Stone, a creator of the classic Nick game show Legends of the Hidden Temple, which is being adapted into a Nickelodeon original TV movie set to premiere Saturday, Nov. 26. Marcus Fox also serves as executive producer.
