Bunim/Murray Productions might be looking to invest in Occupy Wall Street.
Following the month of protests in New York, an advertisement appeared on Craigslist soliciting Occupy participants with an interest in being on Bunim/Murray’s veteran MTV series, The Real World.

The New York Observer first pointed out the ad, “Part of Occupy Wall Street? Real World 27 Wants You,” which claims the casting department is looking for a new crop to tell “their unique stories.”
The obligatory Real World prerequisites — pictures to prove telegenic quality, being at least 20 years old — also apply.
Still, the ad could be a fake. Despite the seemingly legit contact information, the Real World’s official casting page makes no mention of an Occupy tie-in. The franchise also hasn’t had a reputation for focusing on activism for quite some time — unless you count the hot tub lobby.

MTV’s current season of The Real World premiered on Sept. 28 and finds the show returning to San Diego.
Representatives from Bunim/Murray have confirmed to the Hollywood Reporter that the post is theirs, adding the company frequently targets specific groups in a similar manner to find a diverse cast.
