With the 2014 Winter Olympic Games just around the calendar corner, what are athletes looking forward to most? Besides going for the gold in their respective sports, they all await the impending moment when they’ll be chatting with NBC broadcaster Bob Costas. At least that’s what they all agree on when singing “12 Days of Sochi.”

A new music video from the network features a group of Olympians, including Bode Miller, Lolo Jones, Ashley Wagner, Lindsey Jacobellis, Ted Ligety, Gretchen Bleiler, David Backes, Meryl Davis and Charlie White, who become 2014 Olympic Hopefuls’ Choir and sing “12 Days of Sochi.”
The Olympic-themed offshoot of the countdown Christmas carol looks forward to “five Olympic rings,” of course, as well as “12 events debuting,” “seven cheering champions,” “three dropped pucks” and “Bob Costas interviewing me,” among other things.
NBC’s 18-day coverage of the Games, which kicks off Feb. 6 in Russia’s Black Sea resort of Sochi, is once again hosted by Costas. The network called on the group of hopefuls to not only tout the Games’ upcoming start date, but also to let loose with electric guitars and handheld keyboards, worrying less about singing on pitch than reading the right lyrics.
