Oprah Winfrey‘s upcoming collection of essays titled What I Know for Sure will be the first publication from Macmillan’s new nonfiction imprint, Flatiron Books.
The book, due out on Sept. 2, will comprise essays that the television icon has published in a column of the same name over the past 14 years in her O, the Oprah Magazine column.

“The essays offer a rare, powerful and intimate glimpse into Oprah’s inner life — her thoughts, struggles and dreams — while providing readers a guide to becoming their best selves,” read a press release from the publisher. “Candid, moving, exhilarating, uplifting and frequently humorous, the words Oprah shares in What I Know for Sure shimmer with the sort of truth that readers will turn to again and again.”
Winfrey has previously called the column a “way of taking stock” of her life and will write the book’s introduction.
