The feature, which Marston wrote, centers on a man (Shannon) who is deciding whether to follow his wife to a new state for her graduate program. The decision gets more complicated when an old flame (Weisz), a woman who often changes identities, reenters his life at a birthday dinner party.
Chernus plays Piper’s (Taylor Schilling) freewheeling brother Cal Chapman in Netflix’s Orange is the New Black. He recurs in the WGN America drama Manhattan and will return for its second season.
On the film side, he’ll appear in the upcoming Cameron Crowe drama Aloha with Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone. His previous credits include roles in Captain Phillips and The Bourne Legacy, and he appeared in two films at Sundance in 2015, Noah Baumbach‘s Mistress America and Jim Strouse‘s People Places Things.
