The series finale of The Originals Wednesday night pulled in ratings on par with its season average.
The CW closed out its five-season run with a 0.3 rating among adults 18-49, even with last week. Burden of Truth preceded The Originals with a 0.2, the same as its premiere a week ago.
CBS’ Big Brother led the night in adults 18-49 with a 1.5, also on par with last week. It slipped a little in total viewers (5.57 million vs. 5.64 million a week ago) but also claimed the No. 1 ranking there.
World of Dance (1.1) improved a little on its Wednesday debut last week and helped NBC claim a victory among adults 18-49. Reverie is at 0.4 for the sixth consecutive week.
Masterchef came down a tenth of a point for Fox and scored a 0.9, while 24 Hours to Hell & Back was a repeat.
NBC averaged a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49 in primetime to lead the network race, slightly ahead of 0.8 for CBS and Fox. A night of reruns on ABC delivered a 0.5. The CW came in at 0.3.
The Tonight Show and The Late Show tied for the late-night lead, each earning 0.4 in the demo in metered markets (The Late Show had a sizable lead in households, 2.5/7 vs. 1.5/4 for Tonight). Jimmy Kimmel Live! was a tenth behind at 0.3.
Late Night topped the 12:35 a.m. shows with a 0.3. The Late Late Show and Nightline tied at 0.2.
