OWN has set the television world premiere date for the Chaz Bono documentary, Becoming Chaz.
The film, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, will air Tuesday, May 10 from 8-10 p.m. on OWN. Becoming Chaz follows Bono’s emotional and physical gender transition.
Immediately following, a one-hour special hosted by Rosie O’Donnell where Bono, girlfriend Jennifer Elia, the filmmakers and other transgender people and their families discuss their experiences, will air at 10 p.m.
The special is executive produced by Hud:sun Media for OWN, with Michael Rourke serving as executive producer and Mioshi Hill co-executive producing.
