Leslie Knope will have a new home in the new year.
Comedy Central has acquired all seven seasons of the Universal TV comedy Parks and Recreation. It will kick off its run on the cabler with an all-day marathon on Jan. 21. The series currently airs on FXX and E! and streams on Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Parks and Rec, which ran from 2009-15 on NBC, is the latest in a string of acquisitions for Comedy Central. In recent months, the cable network has acquired repeats of the Netflix original BoJack Horseman and the libraries of former Fox shows King of the Hill and The Cleveland Show.
Comedy Central is also home to The Office, which, like Parks and Rec, came from Universal and creator Greg Daniels. (Office veteran Mike Schur co-created Parks and Rec.)
The network is also in the midst of refreshing its lineup of original series, with several new shows due to premiere in 2019.
Parks and Recreation marks its 10th anniversary in 2019. The series starred Amy Poehler, Nick Offerman, Aziz Ansari, Rashida Jones, Chris Pratt, Aubrey Plaza, Retta, Jim O’Heir, Adam Scott and Rob Lowe.
